What exactly is Saved Package?
A mechanical, through-panel package security unit that installs directly into your existing garage door. Deliveries go into your garage instead of sitting on your porch — no electronics, no subscription, just engineered aluminum and steel.
How does the delivery flap work?
A spring-loaded flap sits on the delivery side, hinged at the top. Carriers lift it, drop the package through, and it swings back closed on its own — no button, no code, no app.
Where do my packages actually go once delivered?
They drop into a collection bag mounted inside your garage, directly behind the unit.
How do I get my packages back out?
Walk into your garage and lift them out of the bag — there’s no separate door or lock on the inside. The unit opens directly into your garage.
Is there a lock on it?
No. The flap is a simple mechanical spring-return design — no lock, keypad, or combination. Security comes from the package being inside your closed garage, not from a lock on the unit itself.
Does it need WiFi, an app, or batteries?
No. It’s fully mechanical — nothing to charge, connect, or update.

What does the $89 deposit cover, and when's the rest due?
The $89 deposit reserves your install date and locks in your price. The remaining $160 is due after installation is complete.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my install?
We offer full refunds as long as the appointment is cancelled 48 hours ahead of scheduled appointment.

What's it made of, and how long will it actually last?
A 304 stainless steel face plate and inner collar, sealed with an EPDM gasket. The mechanism is tested to 15,000 open/close cycles — roughly 10 years of average household use, exceeding the cycle rating of a standard garage door spring.
Will it rust, dent, or corrode over time?
Do I need to be home during installation?
Yes, We will need access inside your garage.
Does it affect my garage's insulation or weatherproofing?
The unit is sealed with a full-perimeter EPDM gasket to minimize air and moisture infiltration.
Does it work on wood, steel, or insulated garage doors?

What happens if my door turns out to be incompatible after I've already booked?
Your $89 deposit is refunded in full before anything is scheduled.

What's the largest package that fits?
The opening is 15″ x 11″ comfortably fits most shoebox- to small-appliance-sized packages (think a pair of shoes, a stack of books, a small electronics box). Larger items like bike boxes or furniture won’t fit through the slot. This size is compatible with 80% of all packages that are delivered.
Can more than one package fit at once?
Yes, the receiving bag will handle several large boxes, up to 5.
Why Professional Installation Is Required
Can I install Saved Package myself?
No. Saved Package is a professional installation service only. We do not sell the unit separately for self-installation. Every Saved Package is installed by a trained Saved Package technician — that is part of what you are purchasing.

Why can't I just buy the unit and install it myself?
Saved Package involves a precision cut through your garage door panel — a structural modification that requires specialized tools, exact measurements, and technical knowledge of garage door panel construction. An incorrect cut can permanently damage your door, void your garage door warranty, or compromise the structural integrity of the panel. We do not take that risk with your property.

What happens during the installation?
A trained Saved Package technician arrives at your home at your scheduled time. They assess your garage door panel, make a precision cut to exact specifications, install the Saved Package unit using our proprietary mounting system, verify the door operates normally through its full range of motion, and confirm your unit is secure and weather-sealed before they leave. The entire process takes approximately 30–45 minutes.

Is my garage door safe after the installation?
Yes. Our installation is engineered specifically to restore the structural integrity of your garage door panel after the cut. Your door will operate normally and safely after installation — just as it did before.

What if I damage my garage door during a self-install attempt?
Any damage resulting from a self-installation attempt is not covered by Saved Package. This is why we do not offer the unit for individual purchase. Our professional installation protects both your door and your investment.

I'm handy — can I get an exception?
We appreciate that — but no. Our installation warranty and product guarantee are only valid when the unit is installed by a trained Saved Package technician. We cannot stand behind the results of a self-installation regardless of your skill level.
